Bones&Things started as a shop for my emerging jewelry design, however the idea carries on the theme for all of my work. I use bone and teeth, as well as other organic materials, in jewelry design and as the predominant subject for my artwork. The contours, the texture, the subtle hues of natural materials all relate to my work in a spectrum from the acute to the whole. Bones (and things) are a persistent inspiration for their intrapersonal relationships to identity, mortality and visceral desires.
My work includes structural forms, esoteric relationships and veiled icons in nature. The pieces often take a brooding mood and color palates in my work tend to be gray scale, muted earth tones with heavy backgrounds.
After a summer at the Rhode Island School of Design for painting and photography, I graduated San Francisco State University with a BA emphasis in Printmaking and minor in Ceramics. Printmaking techniques include monotype, lithography, intaglio, and relief printing.
Currently I am available for freelance work in illustration, leather work, design and relief printing.
